The course in Avilés was fast and not technical. You could ride full speed the whole race so it was good test to see where your shape really was. There was whole team Orbea with Julian Absalon so the speed of the race was top of the world. I started from the first line and got a good start. I rode the first one and half laps in the leading group of ten riders. Then Absalon made more speed and group exploded. Few laps I was moving between place five and eight, but finally I had to start ride my own speed in place eight. In the last lap I got suddenly some extra power, like it happens often for me in the road race when I see the sing of the last 10km, but I couldn’t raise my position any higher. Absalon won and I was 8. I am satisfied for the race. I had much power in the final which means that maybe I can ride little bit faster and the distance to the Absalon was only two minutes. So just, train harder and ride faster in the next race (8.03.2008 in Italy) My third race of the year was two weeks after Banyoles. The two weeks between the races were not perfect for me. Just after Banyoles, I got sick and I had a hard week, so I couldn’t wait too much from this race
Félicitations! Absalon is famous in France and really strong. You can be happy and really proud!Train good and good luck in Italy. A bientôt

If you look at this in a positive way and promote it towards the community only good can follow. A dirt jump area is fairly low maintenance in regards to the jumps themselves and garbage and recycling. This would be a great asset to the community and I would love to hear any comments!
